Thing to Know Before Logging in to UVTS
The Unit Visit Tracking System (UVTS) is a tool for those in commissioner service to record and review information about their contact with the units they serve. With regular and consistent use, this system can provide each commissioner an "at-a-glance" overview of recent visits and a history of communications with each unit, which can help to provide timely and consistent support.
All personnel, volunteers, and employees must be registered in selected positions as a member of the Boy Scouts of America in order to log in to the system.
COMMISSIONERS: The following commissioner positions have UVTS access and must be registered either as paid or multiple in their commissioner position/codes:
- 80—Unit Commissioners
- 82—Assistant District Commissioners
- 81—District Commissioners
- 16—Assistant Council Commissioners
- 15—Council Commissioners
- 83—Roundtable Commissioners
- 84—Roundtable Staff
- A11—Area Commissioners
- A10—Regional Commissioners
PROFESSIONAL STAFF: The following council professional staff positions have access to view the UVTS system based on their position/codes:
- E10—Scout Executive
- E20—Director Field Service
- E21—Assistant Scout Executive
- E23—Borough Scout Executive
- E24—Asst. Director of Field Service
- E30—Field Director
- E41—District Executive
- E45—District Director
- E48—Senior District Executive
- E50—Director Support Services
- E60—Director Finance Services
- E70—Director Camping Services
- E80—Program Director
- E90—Camping Director
- E91—Activities Director
- E92—Training Director

Note: If you are not able to access the UVTS system, please contact your council registrar. In the case of area or regional commissioners, contact your staff advisor to verify your registration status.
Councils need to first assign unit commissioners to units in ScoutNET.
The approved, council-designated representative needs to assign the commissioner to a unit, open the Unit Record, then select the More Information tab. Click the down arrow at the Unit Commissioner field and select a commissioner from the resulting list.
Access to the UVTS must be done through MyScouting : http://myscouting.scouting.org
To view the system, you must have a MyScouting account with a member ID that carries the commissioner registration. If you already have a MyScouting account, you will need to log in. If you do not have an account, you will need to create a new account in MyScouting.
Once you are logged in to your account, please follow these instructions:
Click on My Profile, Modify Profile, make sure Unit Visit Tracking is marked, then click Submit.

Once you have access into the UVTS, you can obtain support by clicking on the HELP tab, which is part of the Unit Visitation Tracking System online and contains the necessary information for commissioners who have questions about how the UVTS operates. B. Instructions for using the UVTS by a local COUNCIL to support commissioners
The ScoutNET Support Site has been updated to include documents on council implementation. To view these, go to MyBSA user login, click on ScoutNET, and select Support. Click on Support Site, then Internet Unit Services Home and scroll to the Unit Visit Tracking section. (Listed below is the information you would see.)

Hours: An operator is on call to answer questions from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Simply leave a message and they will call you back.
In addition, volunteers who have questions on MyScouting access or UVTS 2.0, can send an email
to MyScouting@scouting.org for support. They should be sure to include their user name, email
address, contact information, council name and headquarters city, and questions.
