Who may attend Maine High adventure
Maine High Adventure is open all Scout Troops and Venture Crews, and possibly other organized youth groups. Non-BSA groups should contact the MHA office for details about attending. The minimum age requirement is 13 before January 1 of the attending year. At least one adult leader (age 21 or older) must accompany each crew: two or more adult leaders per crew are recommended. Coed crews must have at least one adult female leader and one adult male leader, each of whom must be at least 21 years of age. Every participant must have a current health history (within 90 days) and a current medical examination (within one year) from a physician licensed to practice medicine. Maine High Adventure will provide medical forms for this purpose in a kit of material sent to leaders after March 1. Every canoeing participant should be able to swim 100 yards easily.
