The lure of the
outdoors has long called upon the
imagination of a boy.
Camping in the outdoors has captured a boys attention since the dawn of time.
Something about the Great Outdoors just catches their interest!
Today, Cub Scouts andWebelos have an outstanding opportunity to camp outdoors,
fish, learn archery, hike in the woods, shoot bb's and to learn to sharpen their outdoor skills in a safe and setting as well as many more activities.
Cub Scouts and Webelos can sleep overnight at Camp Roosevelt when they
attend our Resident Camp. The Katahdin Area Council will run two weeks of Resident
Camp during the summer of 2010 at Camp Roosevelt Scout Camp in Eddington. Our program is run and conducted by a nationally recognized and trained camp staff. Cubs and Webelos who attend will sleep in a regulation Scout Tent or an Adirondack, eat in the camp's new awesome Dining Hall, and receive a complete and exciting Cub Scout or Webelos program in one of the most beautiful camps in America!
How do you sign up? There are two ways. We recommend you signup as a Den, or Pack, and your Leader and Cub master have received the registration materials. You can also attend provisionally. The Provisional form is located in this brochure. Boys attending provisionally will be grouped with boys of the same age and led by a trained staff member.
Cub Scout Resident Camp gives a boy the unique opportunity learn about the
outdoors, and to gain confidence in themselves in a safe and secure setting.
