About > Maine High Adventure Base > Webster Brook

This is Whitewater paddling at its best! Webster Brook, which flows into Grand Lake Matagamon, offers unequivocally Maine High Adventure's best opportunity for Whitewater paddling. Over its 9 miles, the river features 5 Class 2 - 3 drops that must be scouted with care. Another seldom used river, many crews have the chance to see moose, bear, and eagle on the upper portion. While Webster Brook itself is paddled in one day, the waterway is accessible by areas such as Chesuncook Lake or Allagash Lake, giving all groups the chance to practice their skills and become excellent paddlers before embarking on the culmination of their Maine High Adventure trip. Typically utilized only by older, more experienced groups, Webster Brook is a tremendous way to end any Maine High Adventure trek.
