Just as Camp Roosevelt has been there for the needs of your Scouts,
your parents and Grandparents, Camp Roosevelt needs you today!
The volunteers of Katahdin Area Council are committed to providing your children the very best programs possible at the finest Scouting facility in the east. Over the past several years many new additions have been added to Camp Roosevelt in order to continue to provide a quality program.
-
A new Dining Hall, kitchen and lodge were added to address major concerns with the old dining lodge and kitchen.
-
A new sports field was added so our Scouts would not have to play in a dirt parking lot.
-
We have tied into the Bangor Water District to provide clean and safe drinking water.
-
A new handicapped campsite was added. Cabins were built for summer camp staff.
-
The old Ranger's house, which was old and needed major renovations was replaced.
- All of these improvements and more have helped to keep Camp Roosevelt as the top camping facility in the east!
Now, Camp Roosevelt needs your help! We are on the final leg of the campaign. We need our Packs and Troops to join in and support the campaign by holding a massive, council-wide bottle drive.
Imagine, what if every Troop and Pack held a bottle drive we could finish the campaign and ensure that Camp Roosevelt continues to be able to provide a program for years to come! The pride your Scouts would feel would be well earned!
So, what is your next step? Easy! Agree to hold a Bottle Drive.
Imagine.Every unit in the council out there showing their support for Scouting and the Camp Roosevelt during the 100th Anniversary of Scouting! Amazing! Start saving those cans!
