Welcome to the most recent evolution of Cub Scouts!
The change for Cub Scouts is a piloted and successful method of delivering the existing Cub Scout program that is handbook-based and focuses on den activities leading to youth advancement and higher retention. The Overview includes information on the pilot, its results, what changes and how the changes benefit the Scouting community.
The change is supported by a new leader resource, the Den & Pack Meeting Resource Guide. This new resource contains all the information a den leader or Cubmaster needs to deliver the planned program. Each badge of rank is represented by a series of den meeting plans
designed to be used in conjunction with the youth handbooks.
Den meeting plans provide the den leader with specific support to organize
and conduct den meetings and to communicate with families. This includes
detailed instructions for the boys and parents to follow between meetings,
where needed.
