Katahdin Scout Reservation > Camp Roosevelt > Summer Campsite Request Form

Camp Site Request Form

In order for the Camp Roosevelt to place your unit into one of campsites, we will need you to provide us the following information. Once the form has been completed we will review your request. Campsite requests will not be approved until confirmation of the campsite fees has been received from the Katahdin Area Council. Please mail site fee along with copy of the response to the following address:
Katahdin Area Council P.O.Box 1869 Bangor, ME 04401

All site reservations must be approved by the Camp Registrar and are subject to availability. The Katahdin Area Council and the Camp Roosevelt Summer Staff reserves the right to change a Units campsites or add another unit to the campsite to maximize capacity. This is not limited to moving units due to exceeding the capacity of the campsite. In the event of the campsite capacity being exceeded the Camp Registrar will contact you to consult on which sites your unit will be able to camp in. Your campsite request does not guarantee you will be placed in that site.

Some campsites are compliant with the American Disabilities Act. Please indicate if your unit has a scout/leader that has a pre-existing medical condition that requires its usage. Your unit will recieve priority with these sites. Units without a scout/leader that requires the use of these sites will recieve secondary priority dependent on the capacity of the site. These sites are assigned by the Camp registrar and are based on the severity of the scout/leader's condition.

Please provide an estimate of how many Scouts & Adults from your unit are attending Camp Roosevelt. Take note of the number of female scouts & leaders as they are required to have separate quarters from the male scouts.

If your leaders are bringing any extra dependents (which include but are not limited to siblings under the age of 7), they will be charged a $75 fee per dependent. They are also required to remain with the parent at all times, and are subject to all policies set forth by the Boy Scouts of America, Katahdin Area Council, and Camp Roosevelt.

All units are required to pay a $50 campsite fee. Please check the Campsite fee that best describes your unit.

Camp Roosevelt requires all units to pay a $50 site fee. This fee provides the Camp Ranger and his staff materials and labor costs to help upkeep your campsite year round. The KAC Adopt-a-site program allows your $50 site fee to be waived if your unit agrees to provide materials and labor to help keep camp in working order.

If you select Yes for this program, please do the following: 1) Indicate which site you a sponsor for, 2) Please indicate the dates you are available to open & close your site, and 3) Contact Camp Roosevelt Ranger Bud Hoffses on a list of projects to perform.

Along with the $50, each unit is required to submit a $75 deposit per scout to confirm your site request in 2012.

Please mail Campsite request fees and email notification to the following address: Katahdin Area Council P.O.Box 1869 Bangor, ME 04401
