Requirements for :
Cub Scout Packs

Posts
Cub Scout packs Need to meet the following:
* A Pack must complete all * items and two others for a total of six.
*1. Training - The Cubmaster and at least 50% of the den leaders and Webelos leaders will complete Cub Scout Fast Start Training and
Cub Scout Basic Training for their current position.
*2. Two-Deep Leadership - We will have at least one more registered, trained, and active Assistant
Cubmasters. One adult registered adult is assigned the responsibility of Youth Protection Training.
3. Pack Meetings - We will conduct a minimum of nine pack meetings a year, and the pack
will earn the National Summertime Award.
4. Tiger Cubs - We will have one or more Tiger Dens in our pack.
5. Service project - We will conduct a service project annually, preferable for the chartered
organization or the community.
6. Advancement - 70% or more of our Cub Scouts and Webelos Scouts will advance a rank, or we will have a 10% increase over a year ago.
Approved ranks for this recognition are; Wolf Cub through Arrow of Light.
7. Boys' Life - A subscription to Boys' Life will go into the homes of all Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts and Webelos Scouts, or we will have a 10% increase over a year ago.
8. Membership - The unit will renew their charter with equal or greater numbers of youth registered over a year ago.
*9. The Cub Scout Pack will participate in one or more of the following experiences; Cub Scout
Day Camp, Cub Scout Resident Camp, family
camp, Webelos Den overnights and/or other activities conducted or approved by the local council.
*10. On-Time Charter Renewal - The pack will complete its charter renewal before its current charter expires.
Boy Scout Troops need to meet the following:
* A Troop must complete all * items and two others for a total of six.
*1. Training - Scoutmaster will complete Boy Scout Fast Start Training and Scoutmaster
Fundamentals.
*2. Two-Deep Leadership - We will have at least one more assistant Scoutmaster registered, trained, and active and one adult assigned the responsibility of Youth Protection Training.
3. Planned Program - The Troop will conduct an annual planning conference, publish an annual troop program calendar, and present the program to parents at a family activity.
4. Service Project - The Troop will complete an annual service project preferable
for their Chartered Partner or their community.
5. Advancement - 60% or more of the membership will advance one rank or have a 10%
increase in total advancement over a year ago. Approved advancement for this recognition include all ranks from Tenderfoot through Eagle.
6. Boys' Life - A subscription to Boys' Life will go into the homes of all Boy Scout members, or we will have a 10% increase over a year ago.
*7. Outdoor Activities - the Troop will conduct six highlight activities (such as hikes, campouts, trips,
tours, etc.) and attend a Boy Scout long term camp.
8. Membership - The unit will renew their charter with equal or greater numbers of youth registered over a year ago.
9. Patrol Method - the unit will conduct Troop Junior Leader Training as outlined
in the Scoutmaster handbook and hold monthly patrol leaders' council meetings.
*10. On-Time Charter Renewal - The Troop will complete it's charter renewal before its current charter expires.
Venture Crews and Sea Scout Ships need to meet the following:
* A Crew/Ship must complete all * items and two others for a total of six.
*1. Training - The Advisor will complete Venture Leader Basic Training.
*2. Two-Deep Leadership - We will have one or more associate Advisors registered, trained and active. Coed Crews will have men and women registered as Advisors and/or associate Advisors. One registered adult will be assigned the responsibility of Youth Protection Training.
*3. Officers - The Crew will elect officers and the Advisor or associate Advisor will conduct a Crew Officers' Seminar.
4. Superactivity - The Crew/Ship will conduct an annual Superactivity, which is a major trip, activity or project requiring advanced planning and promotion.
5. Program - The Crew will conduct a minimum of two meetings or activities each month.
6. Service Project - The Crew/Ship will conduct an annual service project preferable for their Chartered Partner or their community.
7. Open House - The Crew will conduct an annual open house or other effort to recruit new members.
8. Membership - We will renew our charter with an equal or greater number of youth registered over a year ago.
9. Crew Committee - An active Crew committee or at least three members must meet a minimum of four times a year.
*10. On-Time Charter Renewal - The Crew will complete its charter renewal before its current charter expires.
Explorer Posts need to meet the following:
* A Posts must complete all * items and two others for a total of six.
*1. Training - The Advisor will complete Explorer Basic Training.
*2. Two-Deep Leadership - We will have one more associate advisors
trained and active. Coed Posts will have men and women as Advisors and associate advisors. One adult will be assigned the responsibility of Youth Protection Training.
*3. Officers - The Post will elect officers and the Advisor or associate Advisor will conduct a Crew Officers' Seminar.
4. Superactivity - The Post will conduct an annual superactivity, which is a major trip, activity or project requiring advanced planning and promotion.
5. Program - The Post will conduct a minimum of two meetings or activities each month.
6. Service Project - The Post will conduct an annual service project preferable for their Chartered Partner or their community.
7. First Meeting - The Post will conduct an annual first meting or other effort to recruit more youth members.
8. Participation - We will renew our program with an equal or greater number of youth over a year ago.
9. Post Committee - An active Post committee or at least three volunteers must meet a minimum of four times a year.
*10. On-Time Charter Renewal - The Post will complete it's renewal before its current program expires.
