ENDOWMENT?
by Jim Mingo

You're reading the Wangan, so Boy Scouting has undoubtedly had a lasting impact on you and your family.

How would you like to have a lasting impact on Scouting in the Katahdin Area Council? It's easier than you think and you can become part of helping the Council join a nationwide endowment effort.

The effort is called 100 for 100, and it refers to attempts to add 100 James E. West Endowment gifts to a council's endowment fund by the time scouting becomes 100 years old. That's a tremendously ambitious goal and one we'd be glad to reach here in the Katahdin Area Council. However, since we've only ever received 76 James

E. West gifts in the council, we're starting by trying to reach our first 100.

Can you find $10 a week? If you can, then start now and in two years, you can be one of the twenty-four people who carry us to our goal.

If you'd like more information, contact Jim Mingo at jmingo@bsamail.org, or Rich Avery at the Council Office. Please also watch the Council website for information on other forms of endowment support.
