Katahdin Scout Reservation Summer 2020 Guidelines

Safety: We will be following the most recent and up to date Maine CDC recommendations for Covid-19 safety, using safe distancing, face covers and limit of number of people in a group. It will be the Scout Leaders responsibility to check each participant for fever and illness before coming to Camp and while in camp. It is also each unit’s responsibility to provide hand soap and hand sanitizer and to ensure their use.  Each unit will be responsible for their own health forms. No Safety officer will be on site. Those that fall into any of the high-risk groups should be encouraged not to attend unless approved by their physician.

Facility:  Camp is shuttered for this season.  The waterfront will not have the dock system in place, no watercraft will be available, COPE will not be operational, Campcraft is not open, Handicraft is not open.  Shooting sports is not open. None of the camp’s program equipment will be available to use. Water is only available at the Vigue Center’s outside spigot.

THERE ARE NO STRUCTURED CAMP PROGRAM FUNCTIONS THAT WILL BE OFFERED AT KATAHDIN SCOUT RESERVATION THIS SUMMER! 

Unit responsibilities:  The unit is responsible for all food and cooking to be done in their site.  The unit is also responsible for all paper products, and cleaning supplies. Units can plan their own program for their unit while at camp.

Firewood: Ranger Bud has firewood on hand for your use. 

Reservations:  Please contact Belinda at (207) 843-5981 for campsite usage.  Belinda will assist with site size needed to accommodate number of youth/ adults in the group.
